Item Description

Classic Tri-State material featuring fine, metallic, brassy colored crystals of Chalcopyrite measuring up to 7 mm sitting on cream colored rhombic Dolomite matrix. The piece is in great shape, nearly all of the Chalcopyrites are undamaged. Specimens from Baxter Springs are quite difficult to find on the market today, and this particular piece dates back at least 35 years, as it was acquired in 1990, and could have been mined a few decades earlier.
