Item Description
The Kamoya South II Mine is famous for its world-class Carrollites, but a more common sulfide, Chalcopyrite is not often seen in good quality display specimens. This piece is a good representative piece of this fairly hard to find material featuring several well-formed, brassy crystals measuring up to 1.6 cm, showing attractive "peacock" iridescence, sitting on off-white rhombic Calcite matrix. The main crystal is in good shape, and there are a few other euhedral crystals that can be seen, but there are some contacted areas, so the piece is not 100% undamaged. Still, these are fairly rare, and if you collect sulfides, it's a good locality piece for what it is.
