Item Description

A classic specimen from Reynolds County (it's most likely from either the Sweetwater Mine or Brushy Creek, but it's hard to say for certain) featuring classic sharp, well-formed, crystals of Chalcopyrite with beautiful blue, purple, pink and orange iridescent metallic faces sitting on matrix. The largest Chalcopyrite crystal measures only a few mm, but they are stunning to view up close. The reverse side of the piece hosts a large, silvery colored, doubly-terminated Calcite scalenohedron measuring 5.6 cm long. A wonderful big cabinet display specimen of this well-known and fast-disappearing material.
