An OLD-TIME, rich and excellent combination from the historic mines at Banska Stiavnica. Lustrous, golden-metallic chalcopyrite crystals are festooned with scattered galena crystals and sections and cute sprays of tiny quartz points on the hefty quartz-rich sulfide ore matrix. Comes with an OLD, circa mid-1800s label. Formerly in the Hermann Kraft Collection. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 8908. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record). A RARE and important old-timer from this famous locale.
