Chalcophyllite (rare)

Item Description

Classic "rosettes" of hexagonal crystals of rich blue-green Chalcophyllite on matrix from the famous Copper stope in the Majuba Hill Mine. The crystals are beautiful to view up close, and we've photographed them with a Canon MP-E 65 mm macro lens to better illustrate the quality. Fine crystallized Chalcophyllite is not common from the United States, and the pieces from the Majuba Hill Mine are some of the finest examples of the species from this country.
