Item Description

A rich piece for the locality with many lustrous, flattened crystals of the rare copper species Chalcophyllite. OLD material, only coming out of old collections today! Mostly we think of England or Tintic for the species, but in the past Chile was a contender as well. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#3250). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
