Item Description
A lovely old time specimen of the rare hydrated zinc manganese oxide Chalcophanite from the famous Cole Shaft in Bisbee featuring sub-metallic silvery-grey colored botryoidal growths on Limonite. Hard to find on the market, and this one dates back many decades, so it's a rare antique specimen that would make a nice addition to a Bisbee suite. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#1944). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
