Item Description

Engaging and interesting, this is a fine combination piece from the famous Mapimi district in Mexico. Both faces of the matrix are covered by dense, arborescent botryoids of metallic Chalcophanite. The botryoids are well-defined and definitive, and on the upper surface the Chalcophanite has a wonderful, iridescent sheen. In pockets within the matrix are choice spheres of blue Rosasite. These spheres are up to 2 mm across, and they contrast very nicely with the Chalcophanite. The aesthetics and quality of the combination are quite good.
