Item Description

This more obscure Cornwall mine was worked from 1815-1870 and this uncommon and very aesthetic specimen may have come from the reworked dumps or the active mining period. Intergrown, sharp chalcocite form a very attractive 360-degree specimen. The metallic dark gray, tabular crystals are pseudohexagonal and some show twinning. The scattered iridescent bornite coatings really add color and pizzazz to this excellent thumbnail. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection. Fairly valued at $600 for quality and rarity.
