Item Description
Sharp, splendent, lightly iridescent, dark metallic-gray chalcocite crystals form a showy and excellent miniature from this very obscure Queensland mine, formerly known as the Mammoth Mine. I like the way the large crystals are strung out on the crest of this two-sided wedge. The striking, sharply terminated crystals reach 1.2 cm across. The exact locality is the 4765 Level, Extraction level West 1, Footwall Stockpile. RARE on the market. A very nifty two-sided piece with periphery wear confined to the base on the back and one end.
