Item Description

A showy and dense cluster of textbook, psuedohexagonal chalcocite blades with metallic luster attractively set on copper oxide-stained matrix. The large crystal on the edge is 1.3 cm across. Rich masses of crystals, such as this, are just not that common from any locality. This piece has some trivial damage when inspected closely, but most crystals are in good shape. An aesthetic, rich and highly representative small cabinet example of the locality and find. Valued $1500. This is the last specimen we have from a small purchase around 2010 or before. It is one of the few good matrix pieces recovered.
