Item Description

Redruthite is an old-time synonym for chalcocite, named after the well-known Cornwall district. Extremely sharp, intergrown crystals look like a very complex mechansim of steel gears and beams on this very nifty, pristine, floater crystal cluster. It looks great from either side. Undoubtably old-time material from the 1800s mining heyday in Cornwall, but no proof. Probably from the St Ives Consols Mine. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock and comes with two older French labels. Herb valued this cutie at $350, five or more years ago.
