Item Description

Sharp, sparkly to matte-finish, metallic charcoal-gray chalcocite crystals, to about 5 mm, richly line a centrally placed 3.5 cm horizontal vug in the sculptural brecciated sulfide and greenstone matrix on this showy and excellent piece from this famous tin mine. The area around this historic mine was intermittently active from the late 1700s until 1990. Classic Geevor Mine chalcocite.
