Item Description
A classic specimen from Dzhezkazgan dating back around 25 years featuring iridescent crystals of Chalcocite intergrown to create a gorgeous miniature. The piece has no real damage on the display side and looks beautiful up close. Valued at $500, and certainly worth picking up if you missed out on these years ago. There are no more of them on the market, and they are some of the more interesting examples of Chalcocite out there. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#10415). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record). A beautiful and attractive specimen from this now classic locale.
