Chalcoalumite is a rare hydrated copper sulfate. Chalcoalumite and cyanotrichite were recently identified and analysed from this porphyry copper deposit in Chile. The striking vug in this sculptural, two-sided matrix is richly and showingly lined with bright blue, botryoidal, chalcoalumite, sparkly azure-blue, cyanotrichite microcrystals, banded malachite and a single glassy gypsum blade. Colorful, rare and rich combination material from this uncommon locale.
