Chalcedony stalactites (Richard Hauck Coll.)

Item Description

This is a special large chalcedony specimen, way beyond the normal quality level you see from Irai. It came to me in the quartz collection of Richard Hauck (1000 pieces, all quartz) in about 2007. This slightly curved plate is covered with bulbous, grayish, chalcedony stalactites that have a fabulous, silvery-gray interior shimmer. The nifty little quartz? knob on top of the tallest stalactite really adds pizzazz! As you can see, this is a unique and incredibly sculptural, translucent crust. Ex. Richard Hauck Collection.
