Item Description

A striking, parallel-growth, graduated cluster of multi-hued and multi-layered, translucent, chalcedony stalactites from a recent in Java, Indonesia. The knobs on the large stalactite are dramatic. The broken base reveals the hollow tubes in the centers, where the silica-rich solutions flowed to form the stalactites. This one has colors from lavender to creamy to burnt-orange. Pristine. Colorful and unusual material from an exotic locale for mineral specimens! This one has great visual appeal. I saw these labelled as FOSSIL BAMBOO at Tucson this year!!!
