Item Description

A classic specimen of the beloved pseudomorphs from Wheal Mary Ann. Tan colored Chalcedony has formed pseudomorphs after octahedral Fluorite crystals. The form of the Fluorite is amazingly well-preserved by the Chalcedony, and for the size of the specimen, it's amazingly excellent quality. The largest crystal / pseudo measures 1.6 cm across. VERY little damage, and so clean and showy. It's not "muddled" or dirty looking like many I've seen from this locality. The crystals are easily distinguished and notably sharp. Great old time material, nearly impossible to find on the market. From the collection of Wouter Van Tichelen. Valued at $1800.
