Item Description
A striking hoppered salt cube thumbnail has been pseudomorphed by chalcedony on this fine rarity from Kansas. Three sides of the cube are strongly hoppered, adding much character. It is said they were fround in farm fields near Green. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 5737 and acquired from Schneider's rocks & minerals in the late 1960s. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien-Welt" November-December 2017). A very interesting, rarely on the market Kansas pseudo. A must for the pseudomorph or Kansas collector.
