Item Description
A unique and very rare pseudomorph from the famous mines at Guanajuato. Chalcedony is RARE from here. This amazing sculptural piece is a highly modified calcite scalenohedron, that has been replaced by translucent, honey-brown chalcedony. The scattered smaller white chalcedony botryoids are a super accent and contrast. The SURPRISE is at the broken base. Here you can see, that the pseudo is a fabulous double epimorph, having replaced two growths of the calcite crystal! This incredible piece is probably a stalactitic cave growth. A superlative and rare Guanajuato pseudomorph. Ex Ken Roberts Pseudomorph Collection. Valued at $400-500 for rarity and quality. A MUST for the pseudomorph, calcite, quartz or locality collector! valued $450-500
