Item Description
Single botryoid of translucent, purple Chalcedony. The 3.3 cm botryoid transmits a bright light beautifully, and will glow when placed next to a flashlight. It has grown on a partially gemmy Quartz (which looks so much like a gemmy Orthoclase) and yellow Fluorite. To add even more interest, there is a 1 cm Schorl needle growing through the Quartz. Part of the Chalcedony has been altered to white, creating a visually pleasing contrast with the original purple. It may not be spectacular, but this specimen is certainly interesting and attractive.
