Item Description

This piece came to us by way of a good friend who collected it on their claim In Antelope Valley. It is an unusual semi-stalactitic Chalcedony that has formed in a somewhat banded / layered formation. Internally the color is a lovely baby pink hue, but this particular piece has some strong reddish colored iron oxide inclusions that give it a very different appearance from the other specimens we've offered from this locality. Interestingly, the site where these specimens are found is on BLM land that was part of the childhood home of Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor - the Lazy B Cattle Ranch - in southeastern Arizona. If you're a collector of Quartz and its numerous varieties, or for anybody interested in colorful specimens from the southwestern United States, don't miss out on this one, it's better than most Chalcedony you'll see on the market, especially from the standpoint of color, form and quality.
