Item Description

The Chalcedony specimens from Ngabu are some of the most beautiful and unique of any blue Chalcedony out there. These pieces remind me a bit of the blue Chalcedony specimens that came out of Blinkpan, Namibia a few years ago. The color is really eye-catching and I would describe it as a lovely blue hue with a slight amount of lavender. Typically this material is reserved for the lapidary trade, but this piece is actually CRYSTALLIZED in the center with an outer rind of host rock matrix, making is highly desirable for collectors, especially with good translucency and color. If you collect Quartz and its many varieties, be sure to pick up this impressive and certainly hard to find specimen of what is sometimes called "Blue Holly Agate" in the gem trade.
