Item Description
Unusual specimens ! I have seen reports that say these are replacements of crystals, stalactites, and even of plants and wood, but I am not sure the truth about how they formed. It is fascinating material that consists of semi-hollow tubes of golden chalcedony which looks like nothing so much as if it had replaced marsh grasses, reach 5.5 cm in length and exhibit a 'jackstraw' pattern. Old finds from early 2000s. From the Keith Williams Collection of miniatures and small cabinet specimens - Keith was a well known dealer and collector for decades before retiring recently.
