An impressive, sculptural and colorful large post mining mass of lamellar, turquoise-colored chalcanthite casted around a mine timber from the famous mines at Butte. Copper-rich fluids precipitated on the mine timber with striking effect. An important, excellent and RARE older mining artifact from Butte. The piece has been sprayed with krylon for protection.
