Item Description
Mineral specimens from this obscure Oregon basalt quarry are seldom on the market and chabazite specimens are EXTEMELY RARE. Phacolite is the uncommon lens-shaped variety of chabazite due to twinning/multiple twinning of rhombohedrons. Glassy, translucent, colorless crystals with a light iron oxide tint cover the matrix. The large undamaged crystal is 2.3 cm and the cleaved larger crystal on the edge is 3.0 cm. RARE and highly representative material from the Bob Trimingham Collection. Valued at $200. A MUST for the species, zeolite or locality collector.
