Item Description

A pretty, pearlescent, translucent, blocky, stepped, 1.6 x 1.5 cm, tannish-pink chabazite crystal is aesthetically set in a cleft lined with calcite crystals on this showy and excellent combination from the famous and extinct Upper New Street Quarry. The calcites covering the sawed sculptural basalt matrix have an interesting habit - the glassy, translucent scalenohedrons have rounded faces and either rounded or pinacoidal terminations. A classic, display quality combination from the Dr. Barratt Phillips Collection.
