Item Description
Outstanding specimen from the classic zeolite deposits at Two Islands, Nova Scotia, but of high quality and yet probably 100 years old! The layer of lustrous, 9 mm, orange-pink Chabazite crystals are abundant across the presentation side of the specimen. They are underlain by a layer of pearly, attractive, and colorless Heulandites. Together, they make a highly aesthetic and large, small-cabinet specimen. Probably Chabazite-Ca, good quality specimens from this locality are scarce, and this combination plate ranks among the best. These pieces are part of a century-old Italian collection that was recently acquired. Highly important for what it is, this is also a gorgeous display specimen nearly 4 inches across.
