Cervantite, uncommon antimony oxide, is rare from the numerous Mexico localities listed by MINDAT. It is EXTREMELY RARE from the two obscure mines MINDAT lists for Huitzuco in Guerrero State. This is a sculptural solid specimen of light brown cervantite pseudomorphing diverging jackstraw sprays of stibnite blades. The blades reach over 3.5 cm on this fine and showy rarity. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 267. Old material, from the late 1940s or early 50s with the low collection number. She acquired this piece from the George Burnham private collection.
