Item Description

A small corked vial contains many small pieces of Cervantite from the Caspari Mine near Arnsberg, Germany. The specimen comes with an old historic label from the renowned mineral New York mineral dealer, George English. We couldn't get the cork out without potentially damaging the vial, so we were not able to measure the pieces inside, but they are all 1 cm or less. The vial itself has a label attached which has the name Doughty-Hauck 1-79 (cleary Edna Doughty and Richard Hauck, possibly acquired in January 1979?). The piece comes to us from an old East Coast collection, and would certainly make a cool and curious addition to your collection.
