Cerussite with Willemite (rare locality!)

Unlike Descloizite and a few other species from Berg Aukas, Cerussite specimens were not that common and this particular piece came from the widow of a miner who worked at Berg Aukas in the late 1960s to early 1970s. This piece doesn't look too dissimilar to Cerussites from Tsumeb, but the ones from Berg Aukas often display a definite smoky brown hue, like this one. A few robust, crystals that display one dominant and one smaller twin component dominate this piece and the superb adamantine luster makes all of the crystal faces "pop." The more obvious crystal in the foreground measures 3.5 cm tall and almost 3 cm wide and all of the crystals exhibit that lovely smoky hue. As well, teh particular smallwillemite style is Berg Aukas, not "Tsumeby" in style. The crystals are in excellent condition with some contacting on the backside. The Cerussites are adorned in places, especially on the back, with contrasting white, tiny (1 mm) glistening clusters of Willenite that fluoresce intensely under short wave UV light. An attractive piece that looks at fist glimpse like another Tsumeb cerussite but is actuallymuch more uncommon.
