Cerussite with Chrysocolla

Old-time, classic and desirable cabinet specimen from an important old USA silver and lead mine! This specimen hosts a rich field of cyclically twinned, reticulated, "snowflake" cerussite blades from the famed Mammoth-Saint Anthony Mine at Tiger. The blades reach 2.3 cm long. The interior of the display area is very nearly pristine, with only one broken crystal and a contact with the vug wall, with no damage noted. The periphery wear around the vug is minimally detracting on this showy piece. The slender Chrysocolla vein on the back is a nice bonus. Tiger specimens of any species are among the most desirable of any Arizona locality. The mine closed in 1953. See the 1980 Mineralogical Record article in Vol. 11, No. 3.
