Item Description
A cool old time Polish Cerussite specimen with EXCELLENT pedigree! Many sharp, well-formed, lustrous off-white, twinned crystals of Cerussite measuring up to 4 mm are intermixed with silvery-grey colored Galena on matrix. The piece is fine quality display specimen of this incredibly hard to find material, and its value is enhanced by the hand-written label from Hermann Kraft (specimen #627). I have never had a specimen of this elusive and beautiful material to offer in any format, and if you collect lead minerals, secondary ore minerals or old European classics, you can't afford to miss out on this one. Valued at $750. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#8125). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
