Item Description

A large V-twin of cerussite, at least relatively large for what it is, draws the eye with an unusual symmetry. This classic style of cerussite came out in the 1960s and is now a modern classic of that era. This is a soft mineral, and few of any size were found without damage. This has one broken edge on the left wing as pointing up, and the bottom tip is also dinged. Still, it Looks really good in a case, and the shape conveys and impacts at first glance. This dramatic geometric shape is what makes it important and collectible, although not in perfect condition. This is from the old collection of Bill Panczner, author of the still-definitive book MINERALS OF MEXICO (1987). Valued $750-950 due to damage, to be blunt (as it looks like a higher value, we wanted to be clear on this...of course, if not damaged a bit, it would be over $5000 and still look the same from distance).
