Cerussite (twinned)

While we have other forms of cerussite in the auctions here, from Dr. Pohl's extensive Moroccan suites, this is perhaps the most classic of all in terms of twinning forms famous for a Moroccan cerussite as opposed to one from Tsumeb or Kombat in Namibia - the Moroccan V twin. Some are "open" and have points, like two diverging arrows (one is in this auction set); while others like this are more blocky and "closed" at the other end. You can display this V up or V down, as you wish - though it stands more safely as shown, with the broad side down. This is complete, undamaged, and 360 degrees. It would date from the 1960s or 1970s. The textbook form and geometry here made these famous and desired back in the day, and this has never been replicated from other localities - not in this size and quality! Valued $2500-plus.
