Item Description

A beautiful classic, V-shaped twin Cerussite from the small finds in the early 2000s at the far less well-known Christoph Mine of the Kaokoveld, Namibia. This locality is best known for its fantastic Dioptase crystals, and in my experience, good twinned Cerussites like this are quite difficult to find. The piece is translucent when backlit, and my favorite aspect is the secondary crystal that is flaring off of the top of the twin to really give the piece three-dimensional character. The smoky crystal has the gentle waxy luster and resembles the classic V-twins from Morocco. Great quality all around, and this piece would make a great addition to any thumbnail suite or a collection of twins or secondary ore minerals. Ex Charlie Key specimen
