Item Description
A gorgeous and aesthetic small cabinet Cerussite specimen from the world famous Tsumeb Mine. The piece is features excellent classic, sharp, lustrous, gemmy, light smoky colored, fairly thick, "snowflake"-shaped reticulated / twinned Cerussite crystals which are associated with columns of grey-brown Coronadite free of matrix. The piece is crystallized on the front and back with only a few minor nicks, and a contact on the base where it was removed from the pocket wall. Hard to photograph, but honestly better in person. The piece displays beautifully. There were literally hundreds of species found at Tsumeb, some of the all-time species like Cerussite will always stand out as some of the finest examples ever found. This piece has a retail price in the inventory of $950. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#9843). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
