Item Description
Cerussite is a well-known lead carbonate mineral, and one of the most popular secondary ore minerals around the world. The finest Cerussite specimens from the esteemed Tsumeb Mine are certainly at the pinnacle of the species in terms of quality, size and crystallization. This piece is a lovely example of this famous material featuring a beautiful, very gemmy, "snowflake"-shaped reticulated twinned group of Cerussite with near colorless purity, measuring 2.2 cm long, on thin matrix. The Cerussite group is in good condition, I can only see a few small imperfections with a loupe. Attractive up close, and still eye-catching on its own in a display case. Good Tsumeb specimens are always in demand, and they are certainly not as common on the market as they were decades ago.
