Item Description
Tsumeb Cerussites are beloved for their fantastic size, quality and crystallization. These specimens are among the most sought after and beloved Cerussites in the world. This piece is a wonderful, robust group of very sharp, highly lustrous, translucent, "smoky" colored crystals of Cerussite forming a classic reticulated twinned "snowflake"-esque specimen free of matrix. The reverse side shows a deposition of pinkish-cream colored micro Dolomite crystals. The piece is in excellent condition all around with only a few small imperfections that can be seen on the display side. The piece is mounted on an old piece of molding clay from decades ago, but it still shows well as you can see from the photos. A wonderful old time specimen from the world's most famous locality dating back at least 50 years. From the collection of Leigh Price, noted geologist, field collector and mineral collector who lived in Colorado. This piece was priced in our inventory at $6,000.
