Item Description
THIS IS A MAJOR cerussite specimen, hefty at 460 grams, and showing awesome 3-dimensionality that is just very, very hard to convey in photos. Trust me, its impressive in person! The piece is a very lustrous, glassy specimen with intricate reticulation of the crystals, which shows the results of complex internal twinning growths. It is complete all around and, considering the fragility and size, in remarkably good shape with just a fe wvery minor dings overall. This probably was mined in the 1960s-1970s, and it is from the longtime private collection of South African dealer Rob Smith. Valued $4500
