Item Description
Cute butterfly-like clusters of glassy, adamantine luster cyclically-twinned cerussite blades, to 9 mm, are richly and aesthetically clustered on the sculptural gossan matrix. Famous for sharp, tabular hexagonal mimetite crystals, cerussite is VERY RARE from Mount Bonnie. The MINDAT Photo Gallery for the locality does not feature any examples. This small abandoned Cu-Pb-Zn-Au mine has produced outstanding mimetite specimens and this is a very worthy and rare cerussite example to add to your Australian species or localtiy collection. Ex Rob Sielecki Collection.
