Item Description
VERY RARE showy cerussite from this historic old Pb-Zn-Ag-Fe mining district. Diverging sprays of adamantine luster tan prisms compose this rich solid two-sided miniature. The top and bottom of the piece were contacted against the vug walls. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 2368 and acquired from Scott Williams in the early 1960s. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record). This historic, perhaps UNIQUE old-timer dates to prior to World War I, when Upper Silesia was part of Germany.
