Item Description

A very good specimen of the rarely seen "green" Cerussite from the Daoping Mine, which is best known for its amazing Pyromorphite specimens. These pieces made their way to the market around 10 years ago, but quickly disappeared. The most interesting aspect is the beautiful "seafoam" green hue which I'm told is caused by inclusions of Malachite. This piece has very good sized pseudohexagonal crystals which are actually a soft yellow color (chrome bearing), but the Malachite makes such a strong presence that you can barely see the yellow. The largest crystal measures 1.6 cm, and the overall arrangement in a somewhat "flower"-like group makes for a wonderful showy display specimen. Very little damage on the display side, and certainly worthwhile for any collector of the material. Valued at $800.
