Cerussite, quartz and galena combination specimens are extremely rare from this ancient lead-silver mining district. This showy and rich ore specimen features a colorful back wall of oxide-coated quartz crystals on matrix rich in galena. The vug in front of the quartz wall hosts numerous oxide-coated, cyclically-twinned cerussite crystals. The splendid, 8 mm, cyclic-twin in the notch at the top of the piece is striking. This old-timer comes with two labels, written on the front and back, where the date, 1847, is mentioned twice. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock. Classic and rare, old-time material.
