Item Description

A razor-sharp specimen of cerussite with crystals to 2 cm, said to be from mining in the 1950s-1960s, at this classic American ore mine. A great history is available on MINDAT here: https://www.mindat.org/loc-3380.html. Specimens in this quality are rare because few survived on matrix, and most of what we have seen on the market are simply loose crystals. This rare matrix miniature is from the miniatures suite of the Bill Panczner collection (he also authored the book, Minerals of Mexico, and had a large southwestern suite including many Arizona minerals).
