Item Description

A very bizarre looking old-time specimen from this ancient lead-zinc mine closed in 1931 composed of lightweight, vuggy matrix which has several pockets of sparkly, velvety malachite. Numerous, hair-thin, acicular cerussite crystals are perched on the malachite! The old label gives the exact locality, and dates the piece to 1873. Very rare and excellent, old-time combination material in this quality! Valued at $1250 and worth it.
