Cerussite on Galena (ex Pat Gross and Rich Kosnar Collections)

Item Description

A rarely seen association specimen featuring small, gemmy, colorless crystals of Cerussite on metallic grey Galena. This is one of the few specimens of Cerussite that I have seen from Franklin. I have photographed the small crystals under the microscope to better illustrate them, but this is truly a micro specimen. The piece comes from the famous New Jersey collection of Richard Kosnar, who obtained the specimen from noted collector Pat Gross in the early 1990s. The piece still rests in Pat's micro mounting box with her handwriting stating that it's from Franklin.
