A beautiful cluster of V-twinned Cerussite crystals from the storied locality of Touissit-Bou Bekker. Both closed and open twins, these sharp crystals are blessed with an outstanding luster that enhances the soft creamy color. The large, closed twin had a gorgeous, chatoyant interior, while the smaller crystals are gemmy and glassy. Who would have thought that the gemminess and luster of the smaller crystals would be mentioned second, but the silky shimmer of the larger crystal is just so alluring. There are even small flecks of imbedded, oxidized copper on the larger twin that add a bit of color and drama to the proceedings. From old finds in Morocco (1960s to early 1980s perhaps), this variety of twinned Cerussite is rare. Whereas most surviving pieces are singles, this elegant, highly-aesthetic cluster is miraculously intact. These specimens are no longer being found, and they truly represent some of the most distinctive and eye-catching Cerussite specimens you will find. Better even in person.
