Cerussite on Ferruginous Quartz (rare old combo)

Item Description

A striking, excellent and rare combination piece from this ancient mining district (12 century). Clusters of adamantine-luster, ivory-colored, cerussite laths are aesthetically scattered on the galena matrix covered with burnt-orange, iron oxide-coated, quartz crystals. These are not citrines, as the label states. Undoubtably old material, but no proof.
