Cerussite on Azurite and Malachite (rare combination and locality!)

The classic combination of Azurite with Malachite is synonymous with Bisbee, Arizona, but this particular specimen has a special twist that makes it all the more desirable and rare! This beautiful small cabinet display piece not only features a gorgeous combination of midnight blue Azurite which, which are partially altering to velvety forest-green Malachite, but if you look closely, you can see several white Cerussite crystals, some of which have formed attractive reticulated "snowflake" twins! While all three of these species are not necessarily rare when it comes to secondary ore minerals, the combination of all three species on the same specimen from Bisbee is VERY rare in my experience. Additionally, this piece is labeled specifically as coming from the Sacramento Mine, which is significant, because it can be difficult to place mine designations on Bisbee material, so when you have mine attached to a rare combo specimen like this, the value is certainly increased. The piece almost certainly dates back 100+ years, as is often the case with this material. There is a piece of clay attached to the back of specimen, allowing it to be displayed easily. A few small contacts can be seen, so the piece is not 100% damage free, but it's still an important and notably hard to find association specimen from one of the most historic and celebrated copper mining districts in North America.
